Description

Activity cards to support caregivers and preschoolers in talking about death and dying through play. Each card guides the caregiver in leading an activity with a young child designed to help them better express, understand, and cope with their grief. Dedicated caregiver cards support adults in connecting with their child on the subjects of death, dying, and bereavement.

If you need assistance with purchasing these cards in bulk, please email us at info@nacg.org. It is our hope that organizations and individuals will invest in this project and make these cards available to children and their families. Proceeds from the activity cards go to support the charitable purposes of the National Alliance for Children’s Grief.

About this project: These cards were created by members of the NACG and this project honors the children who are grieving.  The experience of professionals working with them inspired the creation of these cards in the hopes that no child will ever feel alone in their grief. They were illustrated by Sandie Sonke.  Sandie is also a Southern California native with a degree in studio art from California State University Fullerton. She is a fan of coffee and cooking, and among the many hats she wears, her favorite role is being a mom of two. Sandie has published several children’s books, and you can also find more of her freelance illustration work at www.sandiesonkeillustration.com.
