This webinar introduces the power of legacy writing as a tool for healing grief in children and families. Drawing from her personal journey after the loss of her 4-year-old daughter, the speaker shares how storytelling and book creation can preserve memory, offer comfort, and create lasting bonds across generations. Participants will learn how to guide children and families in writing “legacy letters” and creating simple storybooks that honor the life of their loved one.
Through real-life examples and practical steps, Wilkena will demonstrate how grief can be transformed into creativity, how children can use their imagination to process loss, and how families can keep their loved one’s presence alive in a tangible way. The session will also address how legacy writing affirms identity, encourages resilience, and nurtures hope during one of life’s most painful seasons.
