LGBTQIA+ Affinity Group. This call is a member-led group open to all childhood bereavement professionals who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. This ensures a confidential and brave space within the larger body of NACG membership for members of this community to speak and participate openly in sharing experiences relating to gender identity and sexuality as it connects to our work in childhood bereavement. Calls are scheduled on a regular basis and you will receive an invite ahead of the scheduled call. This call is scheduled to meet the first Wednesday of every other month at 1:00pm ET. PoC Affinity Group. This call is a member-led group open to all childhood bereavement professionals who identify as persons of color. The PoC Affinity Group connects people of color within the childhood bereavement field with each other. It ensures a confidential and brave space within the larger body of NACG membership for members of color to speak and participate openly in sharing experiences relating to race and ethnicity as it connects to our work in childhood bereavement. Calls are scheduled on a regular basis and you will receive an invite ahead of the scheduled call. This call is scheduled to meet every other month on the last Tuesday of the month at 1:00pm ET. Advanced Career Research and Evaluation facilitated by Monique Mitchell, Dougy Center. This call is limited to NACG members who are advanced career researchers (more than 10 years since completing a doctoral degree). The Discussion Hub chair will review applications and confirm the meeting link to applicants that meet the criteria for joining.
Early Career Research Discussion Hub facilitated by Jedi Kmak, Blue Butterfly Counselor. For NACG members starting their research careers–in particular, those actively pursuing a PhD or other terminal degree–are invited to join. Doctoral students, candidates, and any NACG member hoping to contribute substantive research to the field of childhood bereavement can join this monthly, 45-minute Zoom call, held on the second Thursday of each month, at 3 PM ET.
Grief Camps facilitated by Paul Rubin, Camp Good Mourning. This call is scheduled to occur on the first Thursday of every month at 12pm ET.
Grieving with Disabilities by Jennifer Wiles, HEARTplay. This call is scheduled to occur monthly on the second Tuesday of every month at 1pm ET.
Hospice facilitated by Alissa Drescher, Alive Hospice. This call is for NACG members who provide grief programming for youth and are affiliated with a hospice organization. Meeting goals include connection, collaboration, and tackling the unique complexities of providing grief support under the hospice umbrella. This call is scheduled to occur every other month on the second Tuesday at 1pm ET.
Private Practice Clinicians facilitated by Stephanie Heitkemper, Resilient Minds. This call is open to anyone in private practice. This call is scheduled to occur monthly on the second Friday of every month at 12pm ET.
Program Evaluation Discussion Hub facilitated by Maria Bartini, Judi’s House. This call is for NACG members who are interested in discussing in-house evaluation designs, measures, approaches, and best practices. This call is scheduled to occur on the first Tuesday of every month at 12pm ET.

Supporting Young Adults Who Are Grieving by Kacie Chasteen, Kate’s Club, Kristen Huber, The Caring Place, and Kristie Nosich, The Caring Place. For those who are serving young adults grievers,18 and above, and are interested in discussing and learning how to best support this population. This call is scheduled to occur on the first Thursday of every month at 11:00am ET.
