Who is the target audience for this event?
Professionals who work with children, adolescents, and their families in a variety of settings, including social work, counseling, bereavement support programs, funeral service, faith-based organizations, healthcare organizations, hospice, schools, and aftercare programs.
Are sessions ranked?
The schedule will include educational levels (beginning, intermediate, advanced) and tracks for attendees to customize their symposium experience. When viewing the schedule, symposium attendees are urged to use the schedule filters and review the session descriptions for appropriateness for personal and professional development.
What is the cancellation policy?
Symposium Cancellation Refund Policy: If you are unable to attend the symposium and wish to send a substitute, please provide the substitute’s name and contact information to the NACG as soon as possible. If no substitute is available, cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee and refunded as follows:
- Full refund minus a $100 cancellation fee on May 3, 2024
- No refund beginning on May 4, 2024
Cancellation requests must be received in writing on or before the dates provided above. All cancellation or substitution requests should be emailed to Megan.lopez@childrengrieve.org.
Is there an app for the event?
Yes. This year we are utilizing an app called Whova. For more information on how to download the app, click here. We will be utilizing the Whova app for announcements, the schedule, connecting with others, and more!
Can I arrive Monday morning of the Symposium?
Yes. We will begin programming on Monday, June 17 at 11:30am MT. As long as you arrive at the hotel by this time, you will be able to participate in the entire schedule of Symposium.
Do I have to choose my sessions in advance?
No. There is no pre-registration required for individual sessions. All our rooms do have a defined capacity, so please make your way to them in a timely fashion to avoid disappointment.
Are CE’s included in my registration cost?
Continuing education credits (CEs) are included in your registration cost. You will need to ensure you are checked in and out of each session and complete an evaluation for each CE-eligible workshop following the event to receive CE credit. Can I use my presenter discount towards an vendor or sponsor registration?
No. Presenter discounts are only available to use towards individual registrations.
Can I stack registration discounts?
No, only one discount may be used per registration. We encourage you to use the one of greatest value to get the maximum benefit.
Who qualifies for a student discount registration?
This ticket is available until May 3rd for current full-time students only in an aligned discipline. Proof of enrollment will be requested upon registration.
Please note: No additional discounts can be used on the student discount ticket.
